Online Support / Training with WebEx

Rediker Software now offers online training. If you would prefer not to send your staff to our headquarters, our expert trainers can conduct training sessions for your staff online ... live ... during a time that's convenient for you and your staff! Instead of the trainer traveling to your site, our trainer conducts the training over the Internet through your school's Internet connected computer and speakerphone. Web training sessions are geared to the exact training needs of your staff and are conducted using online "virtual" meeting rooms, which allow your staff to attend sessions from the comfort of their office or classrooms. Gather your staff in a lab or school office, project our training web site on the wall or on-screen, pick up the speakerphone, call the trainer, and the training begins. This truly interactive environment is as "live" as if the instructor was in the room with your staff. Just sit back and soak in the information!

Setting up WebEx

The following is a brief list of instructions to help you prepare for a WebEx session.

  1. Go to rediker.webex.com on the computer you will be using to join a mini-support session.
  2. Click New User
  3. Follow the prompts and allow the downloading and installing of the Webex Client setup. (NOTE: If your network does not allow the automatic downloading of files, go to rediker.webex.com and click on support, then click on Download Webex Installer. You must then run the installer after downloading it to your computer.)
  4. Once you have run through the New User setup, that particular computer is ready to join a mini-support session.
  5. If the session is in a lab with multiple people, connect the computer being used to join the online meeting to a projector so that all in the lab can see the presentation. (NOTE: Only the projected computer can be logged into the online meeting during the online session.)
  6. To listen to the audio portion of the session and to be able to ask questions, you must have a phone available for use during the session. (NOTE: If you use a phone to connect to the internet for the session, you must have a second phone available as well.)
