BEGINNERS DAY 1: Learning the Data Base for BeginnersPresenter: Director of Training, Teresa Helton Description: This all-day session is for the beginner. It will introduce the new user to Administrator’s Plus, and cover the main screens and features of the Database Plus module. During this hands-on session attendees will learn how to add new students and staff, customize database fields, set up field validations and field types, enter and edit field data, inactivate students, organize page security in the Address screen, customize field layouts in the Address screen, learn to search and sort for reports, produce columnar lists and other types of reports. This session provides excellent preparation for newer users and those individuals who would like a strong foundation with the Database Module in Administrator's Plus. The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities and sufficient time to answer questions.

New Features: Administrator's Plus Version 5.2; Tips and TricksPresenters: CEO, Rich Rediker / Trainer, Howard
Description: This is an intermediate-paced course for users who already understand how to navigate within the program.
During this all-day hands-on session, the primary focus will be on discovering the newest feature set available in the
latest version of Administrator’s Plus, and learning a variety of tips and tricks from the trainer,
as well as from other users in the class. Topics will include: Importing and exporting data, cleaning up data easily,
getting more out of the default reports, and learning the "newest features" in the current version. There will be time for
hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.

Level 1 Report Writing: Using the Report Writers*Presenter: Trainer, Shelley Armstrong This all-day session is for the user who has intermediate-level Administrator’s Plus skills, but beginner-level Report Writing skills. This session will first briefly cover the basics of generating reports throughout Administrator’s Plus. Participants will learn how to search, sort, create and save queries and groups, learn how to generate the hundreds of built-in reports throughout the program, and become familiar with the specifications screens within each module’s report writer. This session will focus on the modification of existing reports and how to customize them to the school’s needs. Participants will be introduced to many of the basic report writing codes and modification techniques in the data base, attendance, and if time permits, discipline modules. During hands-on activities participants will learn how to use the report writing screens. The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities and sufficient time to answer questions. NOTE: Attendees should bring to the session examples of letters/labels needed at their schools. Any letters/labels created can be taken back to the school on participants USB drives/disks/etc., with instructions on how to install them to the school’s server. Notice: This workshop is for users who are new to report writing, but have intermediate-level experience using Administrators Plus. Offered twice. Accounting: Financial Accounting for Schools(FINACS)Presenter: Product Development, David Tivoli Description: This all-day workshop for the general useris on our newest accounting program, FINACS (Financial Accounting for Schools). This session will have a major focus on student billing, accounts payable, and general ledger activities. Student billing topics include invoice creation, applying scholarships, creating bills, applying payments, deposits, bank reconciliation and review of associated reports. Accounts payable topics include vendor and item setup, creating purchase orders, vouchers, paying vendors and the impact on general ledger, and review of associated reports. General ledger activities will include exploring the general ledger, exporting to excel, and year end closing. Offered twice. BEGINNERS DAY II: Daily Attendance for BeginnersPresenter: Trainer, Shelley Armstrong Description: This all-day session is for the beginning user. It will cover the main screens and features of the Attendance module. Primary focus will be on daily attendance. During this hands-on session, attendees will learn how to set up attendance codes, create import templates to enter attendance from grade books and other sources, produce attendance collection forms for teachers (for schools who don't use GradeQuick), enter the daily attendance from a homeroom or 1st period, use the Daily Attendance Bulletin, enter tardies and produce late slips to class, make corrections to student attendance, "Batch Enter" attendance codes for field trips, sport trips, etc., view and edit the school's attendance calendar, produce various types of attendance reports, and learn how to create and manage “alternate calendars”. The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities and time to answer individual questions. Offered twice. Attend this session on either Tuesday, July 22 or Tuesday, August 5th. ![]() Technical Management of Administrator's Plus, GradeQuick and EdlineDescription: This all-day session is for the intermediate-to-advanced user, particularly technical personnel such as computer coordinators and network administrators who install and maintain GradeQuick (Network and Web), Site Manager, and the GradeQuick interface with Adminstrator’s Plus. This hands-on technical workshop will concentrate on how to install and maintain GradeQuick on a network or using GQWeb. Topics will include learning how data is passed back and forth between Administrator's Plus, GradeQuick and Edline; time-saving technical tricks and tips; and Site Manager’s new features. Advanced Report WritingPresenter: Trainer, Shelley Armstrong Description: This all-day session is for the intermediate-to-advanced user. It will cover advanced features and techniques involved in creating and editing various types of reports in the report writers. Focus will be on understanding common codes found in all report writers and module-specific codes and more advanced codes. Attention will be paid to report cards, transcripts, skills reports, etc. This is a fast-paced session for the experienced report writer, with little time to answer individual questions.

Schedule Building for Middle Schools Featuring the Newest Super Deluxe Schedule BuilderPresenter: Trainer, Shannon Slate This all-day session is for the intermediate user. Middle Schools have very different requirements when it comes to scheduling. This all day session will address many of the issues that middle schools face including team teaching, inclusion classes for Special Education students, and unified arts classes. It will look at the “process” of scheduling from a Middle School perspective and will show how to use the Super Deluxe Schedule Builder to best address these issues. This session will be a mixture of both hand-on and lecture. This workshop is designed for Administrator’s Plus Users who are responsible for building a middle school class schedule. Attendees should have some knowledge of their own school’s scheduling needs and/or some general knowledge about middle school scheduling. More session details Offered twice. BEGINNERS DAY III: Report Cards for Lower/Middle Schools K-8Presenter: Trainer, Shelley Armstrong Description: This all-day "hands-on" workshop is for the beginning user and will focus on the Report Cards Plus module for educators at elementary and middle schools. Middle and lower school grade management and reporting will be covered using the Report Cards Module. Topics will include setting up the grade table, understanding how to setup and run various Honor Rolls, and how to use the powerful grade search functions within the Report Card module. Special emphasis will be placed on using “skills” with courses for report card purposes. It also will briefly cover various methods for scheduling students into classes, as well as entering your already-built section list. Designed for users who desire a more intensive, hands-on approach to understand the basics, the session will have a slower pace and any questions, no matter how basic will be answered. Offered twice. This all-day, "hands-on" session for beginning users will focus on the Report Cards Plus module for educators
at upper/high schools. This workshop will cover the basics of setting up Administrator's Plus to store and report grades, each of
the module's menu items, and the new features. Other topics will include: manual entry of data in the course list, section
list and student schedules in preparation for grade reporting, and how to produce report cards, class ranks, eligibility
lists, updating Career GPAs and producing various honor rolls. Designed for users who desire a more intensive, hands-on
approach to understanding the basics. Any questions, no matter how basic, will be answered.

Schedule Building for High Schools Featuring the Newest Super Deluxe Schedule BuilderPresenters: CEO, Rich Rediker / Shannon Slate This all-day session for high school staff is for the intermediate user who needs to build a master schedule of classes. This "hands-on" workshop will cover how to use the new SUPER DELUXE SCHEDULE BUILDER to assist in building your school's schedule of classes. The primary focus will be on understanding the "process" of building a school's schedule considering including all the politics, restrictions, and variables involved, and how the software can incorporate many of these variables when building a schedule or classes. Dealing with conflicts, part-time teachers, room restrictions, labs, etc. and other common tasks are a part of the day's instruction. This session will be a mix of lecture and hands-on instruction. GradeQuick "Train the Trainers": Teaching Teachers to use GradeQuickPresenter: Director of Training, Teresa Helton Description: This all-day session is for the general user. This session will cover the main screens and features of GradeQuick (Network or GQWeb) as teachers would use the program. This session is delivered as a "TRAIN THE TRAINER" class with the goal of giving the attendees the skills to go back to their schools and train other GradeQuick users. Primary focus will be placed on creating gradebooks, adding test columns, entering scores, viewing score and student data and "hiding" terms, using grade weighting, sorting the class roster, taking class attendance and sending the attendance to the office, entering notes for students and reports, creating and using score footnotes, setting up and using various grade scales, setting and using grading symbols, producing student, test, and class reports, and working on gradebooks at home. APWeb Teacher: Browser-based Access for Teachers to Admin PlusPresenter: Director of Training, Teresa Helton Description: This morning session for general users will cover the main screens, configuration and use of APWeb Teacher. This product is a browser-based program allowing teachers to view and/or enter data into Administrator’s Plus simply by logging into a web browser. Built for Windows and Mac browsers, APWeb Teacher allows entry of grades, skills, narratives, comments, attendance, discipline, and lunch counts. High schools can also give teachers the ability to approve course requests and enter comments so that schedulers are better informed about student course sign-ups. Edline: Your School's Connection to the WorldPresenter: CEO, Rich Rediker Description: This afternoon session is for the general user. This session will cover how to setup, use and manage the parental web portal, Edline. Focus will be on creating Edline accounts, using the Edline QuickSync and Edline Reporter utilities within Administrator’s Plus, and sending progress reports from GradeQuick gradebooks up to Edline. Report Writers: Using the Default Reports Specs, TasksPresenter: Director of Training, Teresa Helton Description: This session is for the user who has Beginning to Intermediate Administrator’s Plus skills, but wants to gain a better understanding for the generation of built-in reports in Administrator’s Plus. There will be NO code manipulation or “report writing” in this session. This session will cover the generation of reports throughout Administrator’s Plus. Participants will learn how to use specifications screens, and user defined tasks to generate the hundreds of built-in reports throughout the program to produce reports, letters, lists etc. This session will provide tips and tricks for the Database Print Program, Database Report Writer, Daily Attendance Report Writer, Discipline Report Writer, Report Card Report Writer, as well as other default reports found in Administrator’s Plus. This session will overview the main screens and features of the Report Cards module. Primary focus will be on setting up the grade table, customizing the grade columns, establishing academic departments, linking courses to departments, understanding how to award credits, calculate career GPA's, entering/editing grades, narratives, comment codes, class absences (manually or from GradeQuick), calculating semester or final averages, setting up various honor rolls, running class rank/eligibility lists, producing various grade reports including report cards, transcripts, search lists, grade distribution reports, etc. Offered twice. Skills-based Report Card Writing: Creating Skills-Based Report CardsPresenter: Trainer, Shelley Armstrong Description: This all-morning session (9:00-noon) is for the advanced user. In this "hands-on" session attendees will be trained on how to perform basic modifications using pre-defined report card templates along with the "advanced box" codes. These modifications will include: Inserting images into the template, changing margins, including/removing comments and/or narratives, inserting/removing skills, inserting database fields, customizing the daily attendance box, etc. Offered twice. This session will overview the main screens and features of the Period Attendance module, setting up the codes, entering period attendance using GradeQuick, or manually, editing student period attendance, “clearing” period attendance, and producing various default reports including official attendance registers using period attendance. E-Mail and AP PortfoliosPresenter: Trainer, Shelley Armstrong Description: This half-afternoon single session (1:00-2:15 pm) is for the general user. This session will first cover the main screens, configuration and use of the Administrator’s Plus E-Mail utility. Focus will be placed on proper setup and configuration, creating and using groups, using "QuickMail", and email enabling reports. This session will then cover the Electronic Portfolio. New in version 4, Administrator’s Plus can now store virtually ANY digital file in a central "portfolio" for any student. Keep track of student projects, papers, progress reports, and transcripts while automatically linking any individual student reports in Administrator's Plus directly to the portfolio. Offered twice. Pictures Plus/ID CardsPresenter: Trainer, Shelley Armstrong Description: This half-afternoon session (2:30-4:00 pm) for the general user will cover the main screens and features of the picture and ID module, Pictures Plus. Focus will be placed on hardware requirements, creating/editing ID card templates, attaching various cameras, choosing to use BMP’s vs JPG’s, printing ID cards using various printers, etc. Offered twice. Attend this session on either Friday, July 25 or Friday, August 8. ![]() GradeQuick Web: An OverviewDescription: This half-afternoon session (1:00-2:15 pm) for the general user will overview the main screens and features of GradeQuick as teachers would use the program. Primary focus will be placed on creating gradebooks, adding test columns, entering scores, viewing score and student data and "hiding" terms, using grade weighting, sorting the class roster, taking class attendance and sending the attendance to the office, setting up and using various grade scales, setting and using grading symbols, sending the grades to the office. Attention will also be placed on using Site Manager to help in your administration of all teacher gradebooks. Managing GradeQuick user accounts, restricting options, transferring program updates, etc. will be discussed during the latter half of the session. Offered twice.
